RIP Troy Moore: Blythewood High School Great

Troy Moore, a name that has for many to come will be followed by the word excellent or exceeding expectation in calling any citizen of BHS. An outstanding athlete and student, Moore's impact on the lives of those around him is remembered by his contributions to all aspects of school life.

A Rising Star:

Early in life it was clear he had some level of athleticism. Personal excellence and a level of commitment to his game that enabled him gain quick acclaim as an up-and- coming phenom in the Blythewood High School sports programs. Moore showed time and again how to be the "best of both worlds" in football, basketball or track.

Football Dominance:

Moore left a lasting legacy and made a huge impact on the football field. A talented and highly intelligent quarterback, he won plenty of games for the Blythewood Bengals with his accurate passing and field awareness. His performances landed him attention at the state and national levels, establishing his place among the nation's best high school football players.

Academic Excellence:

On top of his accomplishments on the field, Moore also shined in the classroom. His academic commitment was as intensive and diligent as his sports vowed. He never scored anything below B and had a number of co-curricular activities showing his talent across the board.

Community Leadership:

But Moore's influence on campus, and in the ND locker room extended beyond her playing days. He was respectable among his peers and even a role model to younger students. His infectious smile, great work ethic and willingness to help others made him a beloved father figure in the Blythe-wood community.

Troy Moore's impact is still laying the foundation for Blythe-wood High School students present and future. He is living proof that hard work and determination can result in accomplishments on the field as well as off. Moore's tale serves as an example that excelling in studies and sports is not mutually exclusive, with massive ramifications on the school community for years to come.
